My brother is back from Philly! Finally. We drove up to Canton yesterday in an all day driving extravaganza to get it. It was totally worth the trip. We got to amble around downtown Canton a bit as they prepare for the Football Hall of Fame festival or something like that. Overall a great trip. Good people. Intriguining stuff around town. Most of the shots below are from an old theatre that wouldn’t let us in to look around because Ginuwine was playing. For real. The last one was right before we split.

Thats all. It’s almost time for Daniel & Katie’s wedding. Shots from that after the weekend!

These are a little bit old but we went up to Kidron/Orrville Ohio last weekend for the Annual Mennonite Relief Sale. Someone mentioned that too many jokes came to mind at the mention of that, ie What do Mennonites need relief from and it’s the best place to pick up a used bonnet. If you’ve never been you need to remedy that next year.

The sale was awesome. Tons of great homemade food like Gerber’s chicken, fry pies, curly fries, and lots of rhubarb. They set up a huge circus tent and hold a quilt auction which is awesome to watch. All of the cash is going to support relief efforts around the world and so folks go all out in the auction. Some even won something and then had them sell it again to raise more money. They had a wood auction inside which we didn’t watch but if you wanted to pick up a solid cherry bed frame and haven’t been able to talk my grandparents out of theirs, this is the next best place. They also had a ton of really old used books, 74 copies of The Purpose Driven Life and same wares from 10,000 Villages.

We also went to check out Lehman’s Hardware which is an old hardware store with pretty much everything you could ever want including old hand tools, stoves, pottery and penguin puppets complete with smaller penguin puppets.

And there’s a photo of our friend’s wedding flowers because there was a shower for here while all of her family was around for the sale.

Enjoy!
